In Q3 2026, the global economy moved between two opposing forces: a supply shock from the Middle East conflict and a positive boost from the AI technology cycle. The IMF projects global growth of around 3.0% in 2026, while the World Bank estimates 2.5%, with global inflation rising to 4.7%. Against this backdrop, Indonesia’s economy grew 5.29% (yoy) in Q2 2026, bringing overall growth in H1 2026 to 5.45%, supported by household consumption, investment growth at its fastest pace since 2023, and Government spending. In August 2026, inflation was contained at 3.19% (yoy), while Bank Indonesia held the BI-Rate at 5.75% to maintain the stability of the Rupiah, which traded in the Rp17,600–18,000 per US dollar range. On the fiscal side, state revenue through August 2026 grew 25.4% (yoy), with the state budget (APBN) deficit contained at 0.93% of GDP.
